Spartan Fan

A couple of weeks ago after a child session, I sat Austin down with a football for some quick images. He was in a great mood and I discovered that there is something about boys and football that just comes naturally. As you can see, Austin is going to be a quarterback, or maybe a defensive tackle.. Only time will tell. Oh and if you didn't catch the game last weekend, GO GREEN AND WHITE! (Brent and I are both MSU Alumni, so our blood runs green. It is always great to see them win, and Austin can show a little Spartan Spirit!)

Emily & Brendt

Emily and Brent treated me to a tour of Detroit last Saturday. We met at his parent's home in St. Clair Shores and went out to the lake. It was a bit cold, but they toughed it out and I love the results. Next we went to a nearby park where a group of about 30 high school students were meeting before homecoming.. We didn't stay long and made the trip down Jefferson to the Center of Detroit. The city images are awesome and I couldn't have asked for a better situation. The road we were shooting on was closed off, and security let us through. So we had the place to ourselves and didn't have to worry about getting run over. Brendt is a huge Tigers fan, so of couse we went to Comerica Park for a few quick portraits too!

Nicholas' Baptism

This morning we attended the baptism ceremony of our nephew, Nicholas. It was held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Haslett. He is a beautiful baby, and we had the chance to take a few portraits following the service. The top image is with their pastor, Pastor Davis, and the second is Nicholas with his God parents, Ben and Julie. On this day, Nicholas became one of God's own.

Joey

Joey was anxious to enter the world and joined his parents about six weeks earlier than expected. He is beautiful and had very few complications with his early arrival. It was great to see the Ballards again so soon, and I was very glad we had their maternity session as early as we did. Joey was born about 4 days after the session! Jeff and Amber seem so natural in their new roles as Mom and Dad, I know it will be a great and amazing year for them.

Avery

When I met Robyn and Avery, she was just a little over 10 months old. She is now one and a half, and I can't believe how much she has grown. She is becoming a beautiful little girl instead of a cute little baby! Avery is a bit shy so I am always happy when I am able to get that adorable smile!

Harper

Crystal, Steve and baby Harper stopped in on Saturday morning for Harper's one month portraits. She is a little doll, and quite active for how young she is! I was surprised how well she could kick and hold her head up. I am so excited to see Harper grow into a beautiful little girl.

Bella & Rachel

Every session bring something different, and with Bella and Rachel, I was so excited to try some new things. These two are absolutely beautiful and it was hard to choose my favorite shots from this session. When I spoke with their mom about the session, she was looking for something slightly edgy, with moody lighting, and I have to say, after our conversation, I was SO excited to create some unique images. Check out their album on our client galleries.

Valerie

My younger sister Valerie stopped by to say hi and visit our son for a little while last week. She lives about an hour away, so it was great to see her on a random afternoon. So, be warned, if you stop by to say hi, you may end up getting portraits taken! Valerie is seven months pregnant and is due on December 19th with a girl, Emma Lou. We are sure to take more portraits as she gets bigger.

Sarah & Jarrod

When I met Jarrod and Sarah last Friday afternoon, I felt like I had known them for years. Not only are they Spartans, but I used to work with Jarrod's mom Mari. With all the pictures and stories, I felt like I knew their lives and family already! It was great spending time with these two and I am so blessed to be photographing their wedding next summer.

Bo

Bo was hilarious during this session. We bribed him with a trail of grahm crackers, which lead to a bunch of pictures of his bottom. So, I put them into a storyboard. I love it. It is so unique and hilarious. I wish I had one of my son Austin... Hmmm, we will see. Oh, and this last pose, all Bo. He layed right down and put his hand right under his chin. I couldn't believe it! We started laughing because it was so perfect. A split second later, he was up and running again.

Husted Girls

I am at a loss for words. It doesn't get much cuter than that.

Husted Family

The Husteds are so much fun to be around. Sharina is one of the most uplifiting people that I know. They came with a few ideas for portrait poses and they turned out adorable. The girls were amazing, and I took quite a few of the two of them. I am going to list it separately on the blog because I love the images so much!
