Sarah & Dan

This couple was so much fun to hang out with! We met at Cooley Gardens, just outside of downtown Lansing for a few shots in the garden, then went downtown to the Capitol Building for a few more... When I say few, I am using the word very liberally... I could've taken a hundred more pictures of these two! (Normally an engagement session is around 70-100 images, this session ended up with 175!) I am so excited for their wedding next year and look forward to seeing them again.

Talia

Not only do I love her name, but Talia is one of the most beautiful babies I have ever met. She has amazing hair and the tiniest little lips. As I was uploading the images from my camera, my heart just melted when I saw the top black and white image pop up on the screen. She is so precious, and I am sure her parents are enjoying every second. Congratulations Elisha and Sergio!

Lovely Luci

In what seemed to me like the blink of an eye, little Lucia turned a year old! She is still a sweetheart, but made me work much harder for smiles this time. Brent and I can not get over her eyes. They are big and bright and blue and amazing! Her mom Tali brought the adorable wings and these turned out to be some of my favorite shots. What could be better than a little pink angel?

Sandi's Surprise Party

As a very cool (and beautiful :) birthday gift, I was invited to photograph a surprise party for Sandi. She was turning 'double nickels' and her friends were surprising her with a girls celebration. The food was amazing and each lady also had the opportunity to paint a wine glass at the party. It was so great being around these ladies, many I knew from working at the Country Club of Lansing, and also to celebrate an awesome woman on her birthday. Happy Birthday Sandi!

Tyler's Arrival

For months my good friend Leesa and I had been planning on my taking pictures during her labor and the arrival of their son Tyler. Of course knowing that the one day I could not be there was August 1st (I had a wedding in the Detroit area that day). Sure enough the morning of august 1st, her contractions kicked into high gear and they headed off to the hospital. I was bummed not to be there, but how cool is this - Tyler Scott was born on 8/1 at 8:11pm, weighing 8lbs, 1oz!! That is just amazing. We went up to visit the next day and took a few portraits while we were there. What an adorable little boy. Congratulations Dykstra Family!

Lindsay & Jeremy Wiley

Lindsay and Jeremy had the most perfect weather for their outdoor wedding in Traverse City. Following the ceremony, we went all over town to different locations the couple wanted to visit. It was a very interesting trip including stopping traffic downtown, visiting a beautiful vineyard, kissing a moose, posing on a bridge, trespassing on private property (thanks property owners for your understanding!!) and a quick trip to Bootleggers for a bridal party toast. Lindsay has got to be one of the sweetest people I have had the pleasure of working with and you could see how much all of her friends and her new husband love her! Congratulations you two!

Noah & Anabelle

Kids are hilarious. Especially guys like Noah, with a never ending supply of energy, a rock star pose, and an adorable little sister. This family is so adorable, I am glad that we finally connected. They are from the Grand Rapids area and were in town visiting family. I feel so blessed to have friends that love my work, and clients who make the drive to Lansing for portraits! Thanks Smith Family, and hopefully we will play again soon.
