Sweet little Kalyse came to visit us just before she turned a month old. She wasn't in love with being naked, but did fantastic for her portraits. Daddy got peed on a few times, so ended up leaving with a different shirt on! Congratulations Martha and Julian on your beautiful little girl!
My awesome, amazing, fantastic babysitter Erica (the one with fun curly hair) stopped in with her mom Jeanette, and sister Tori for a few updated family portraits. They are so freakin cute, it makes me want to go hug my mom and sister!
Kay and Mike were married August 1st at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in West Bloomfield. After the ceremony, we went to Kay's parents home where they had a great set up of snacks and a visit from a deer in the back yard. I did not expect to see a deer right smack in the middle of a Detroit suburb.... Anyway, to add to the excitement of the day, Mike had a mishap the week before resulting in a spectacular black eye. The swelling was down the day of the wedding, and they had a great attitude about it, so we did the best we could and tried to have him pose on the right of everyone. It all seemed a bit Zoolander :) Congratulations Bjerke's!
Robin and Steve were married in Laingsburg at the Lakeview Banquet Center on a beautiful and slightly windy day in July. Robin is a good friend of ours from college (and was actually a roommate of ours at one time!) so we were thrilled to see how happy she is with her new husband Steve. Congratulations you two!
Chad and Taylor were married today at Bay Pointe Inn, on Gun Lake. It was an amazing day with perfect weather, and a very cool arrival by the bride. She and her gals made their entrance via pontoon boat for the ceremony. We were so blessed to have the opportunity to work with this fantastic couple, and I love weddings on the water! (I may be a little biased, my husband and I were married on the lake too :) Congratulations Chad and Taylor, and have a great time in Mexico!!
Whenever a good friend calls to tell me that they are engaged, I try not to put on any pressure, but in my head I am secretly saying, "please ask me to do your wedding, please ask me to do your wedding........" It is so much fun to be able to share the wedding day of a friend. Whether you are standing up in the bridal party, or for me, standing back and catching the moments, it truly is a once in a lifetime event, and I am always so honored to be asked. (Plus I don't have to buy a dress I will never wear again :) Pam and Dave are an awesome couple, and as you can tell in the last sequence below, they are a ton of fun. They will be having their wedding in Grand Haven next year.
